Zagat survey says hotels are going green
The just-released Zagat’s 2009 U.S. Hotels, Resorts & Spas survey says “the race to be green is in full swing.”
The guide covers 1,001 hotels, resorts and spas in the U.S. based on input from 14,049 frequent travelers and travel professionals, including meeting planners and travel agents.
Survey results show 26% listed green features among the top three best hotel trends. While 48% of travelers surveyed said they’re more likely to stay in an eco-friendly property and 31% will pay more to do it.
