‘Queen of Green’ Traveling Cross-Country in Veggie Oil Car.

by Liz Lewis on July 16th, 2008

Debra Lynn Dadd (aka Queen of Green) and husband Larry Redalia are traveling cross-country in 1978 diesel-fuel Mercedes Benz that runs on used vegetable oil. The Mercedes Benz was converted to diesel last year by Larry and it now runs about 27 miles a gallon on straight vegetable oil and doesn’t produce any carbon waste.

Debra and Larry started their cross-country trip a couple of days ago, taking off from Pasadena and will be passing through the following cities on their way back home to Florida…

Las Vegas
Denver/Boulder
Kansas City/Topeka
St. Louis
Nashville
Chattanooga
Atlanta

You can follow their journey at www.veggiecar123.com.

Debra Lynn Dadd, hailed as the “Queen of Green” by the New York Times, is a green expert, speaker and author of Home Safe Home and Really Green.
