Traveling the Green Way

Portland’s Lucky Labrador Brewing Pub Goes Green.

Green beer doesn’t sound all that palatable but beer brewed the green way sure does. And that’s just what a Portland, Oregon Brew Pub is doing.

The Lucky Labrador Brewing Pub  installed solar panels on their roof to generate the energy needed to heat the water used to make beer. But it’s not there just for the brewing side of things. This renewable energy source will also work to heat the water for the dishes and the bathrooms.

In celebration of this green development, the Lucky Labrador Brewing Pub started brewing a special ‘Sun Beer’ courtesy of the strategically placed solar panels. So if you’re heading up Oregon way this summer, make a point of stopping by and trying it out.

Location: Lucky Labrador Brew Pub, 915 SE Hawthorne Blvd. (there are three Lucky Labrador Brew Pubs in Portland but only the Hawthrone Blvd one has solar panels at present)
