It’s ‘Green Travel Carnival’ time.

Welcome to the latest edition of the Green Travel Carnival. The carnival’s pretty small this time around, but that just makes it  easier to get around. Why not grab a coffee and have a read….

Mike from Hybrid Car Review looks at The 104 Most Fuel Efficient Cars for 2009, creating a great resource for anyone considering a new car next year.

Kristy from RatesToGo Travel Blog lists the Top 20 Green Cities in the World Part I, with cities as diverse as Kampala in Uganda and Heidelberg, Germany. This post list the cities ranked from 20 to 11, with a further post on the top nine cities still to come.

Tamara from Travel Blog - Mr & Mrs Smith Boutique Luxury Hotels asks the question When is a hotel really green?, saying, “We wanted to find out which boutique hotels really went the extra mile to become eco-friendly. Here’s a list of the very best.”

Nancy Brown from Uptake Blog writes about Traveling Green in Europe, saying, “On a recent trip to Amsterdam, Spain and Portugal, author Nancy Brown was pleased to find so many green modes of transportation. A smart car is on her holiday wish list.”

Andrew Caxton from Bike Cycling Reviews looks at The Age Problem, providing suggestions on how cycle easier as you get older.

Shelia from Perceptive Travel Blog writes about how to Play outside with L.L. Bean in Maine and Maryland, saying, “Store founder Leon Leonwood Bean was an avid outdoorsman and the store’s products and general vibe reflect that, but many don’t know that you can also go kayaking, biking and camping with the L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery Schools.”

Kara Williams from Traveling Mamas looks at some of the Best Travel Shoes. After all, with walking being the ultimate green travel mode, having the right shoes can make all the difference.
