Traveling the Green Way

‘Explore Costa Rica’ Book Giveaway.

by Liz Lewis on August 14th, 2008

Costa Rica is about as green as it gets.

A country that pretty much pioneered the concept of ecotourism, Costa Rica is a green traveler’s paradise. It might be a  tiny country (approx 0.1% of the world’s landmass) but it contains approx 5% of the world’s biodiversity, mostly because around 25% of the country’s land area is protected national parks.

It’s even home to the world’s greenest airline.

So I think it’s pretty exciting that Traveling the Green Way’s very first book giveaway is Explore Costa Rica by Harry S. Pariser.

Award-winning travel guide author Harry S. Pariser takes the reader on an easy to read and user friendly tour of Costa Rica in this comprehensive guidebook that combines personal experience and insight with solid information about all where to go, what to do and how to get there. There’s plenty of background information about Costa Rica’s history, geology, culture, rainforests, and wildlife. Plus it covers everything from nature lodges to bed and breakfasts, from national parks and forests to historical sites, from places to dine to places to shop, and all things in between.

It’s a must have guide for anyone who has ever thought about going to Costa Rica.  It’s over  600 pages of useful and entertaining information will  simply make you want to  hope on a plane and take off for Costa Rica.

Explore Costa Rica is available online at Manatee Press.
