Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offsetting 100% of its energy use
If you’re planning a skiing/snowboarding holiday this winter, ask resorts about their environmental programs. You could be surprised (or not) by their commitment to the environment.
In Wyoming, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is offsetting 100% of its electricity usage with renewable energy. The environmental plan involves a renewable source mix including wind, biomass, small hydro and geothermal.
“This commitment is just part of a robust company-wide environmental management system including using sustainable construction for the new Bridger Restaurants and adopting a visionary mass transit program for staff and season passholders,” says the resort.
