Are you looking for a Christmas gift for the photographer in your life?  They might just fancy a camera bag from Lowepro’s new eco-friendly line Terraclime.   It’s eco-friendly because the fabric in the series is made of 100% post-consumer Cyclepet – recycled 16 oz. PET bottles turned into sturdy material.

Over 95% of Terraclime’s materials are recycled so it is Lowepro’s greenest series so far.  The equivalent of 2.5 bottles in the smallest model to 22 bottles in the largest were used while conserving landfill, energy, crude and refined oil.  Its spacer mesh is 60% recycled PET.

Terraclime is available in four models – the 10, 30 and 50 pouches and the 100 shoulder bag.  They provide durable, soft-sided protection for cameras and digital gear including point-and-shoot models, lenses, GPS units, iPods, smart phones and DSLR with attached lens.

What makes Terraclime bags even more eco-friendly?  A portion of the proceeds of each Terraclime will go directly to Polar Bears International (PBI) to support their efforts to save polar bear habitats from the impact of climate change.
