What’s Green in…Denmark.

The New York Times has an op-ed piece, Flush with Energy by Thomas Friedman. He writes with enthusiasm about energy efficiency of the Arctic Hotel in Ilulissat, Greenland, including it’s ‘two gear toilet’ that featured two flushing powers depending on what you were flushing. The article went on to focus on Denmark’s transformation to an energy smart nation, the direct result of it’s determination never to be handicapped again by an energy crisis such as the 1973 Arab oil embargo.

You can read the whole article here.

The Globe and Mail used Friedman’s article as a starting point for their own article Call me an optimist, but if Denmark can go green, Canada can too
