What’s Green…at Yosemite National Park.

What’s Green…at Yosemite National Park.

An article by Peter Greenberg called Off the Brochure Travel Guide: Yosemite National Park provides a ‘personalized tour of Yosemite National Park, with insider tips on the famous spots, and ideas for places you might not think to go.’
It’s a real eco friendly guide, with suggestions for hiking and biking the trails, or kayaking and rafting the lakes.
It also highlights the Yosemite Hybrid Shuttles that run along the valley floor. Yosemite National Park, the first national park to to have hybrid buses, maintains a fleet of 18 of these low-emission, low-noise, fuel-efficient buses.

The 10 day, 2,500 mile trip was designed to promote awareness of how easy it is to use cheap and environmentally …read more

It’s all happening at Denver this week. The Democratic National Convention will be in full swing and it keeps on telling us that it’s a green one.
So what is so green at the DNC?
Well, to start off with, there are free bikes available for temporary use. Apparently there will be seven bike stations situated in downtown Denver all this week, with staff on hand over these two-wheelers to anyone interested in wheeling around Denver for an hour or two.
Those attending the convention will have their food served on corn-based plastic dinnerware and plenty of people around to make sure that …read more
